This 2001 release is the second album, and first 'major' release by Before the Rain. Recorded mostly 'live' in the studio, (only minimal overdubs and studio corrections) this album captures Before the Rain as the young, misguided souls that they were. Now they are older and misguided. This album features Dick O'Connell on guitars and as chief recording engineer; Dugg Spalding on drums and percussion; Tyson Bennett on keyboards, and composer of "One Thing Leads to Another"; Gus Chambers on bass and percussion; and Richard Ball on flutes, saxophones, bass, accordion, piano, tar (Armenian stringed instrument), lousy vocals and other toys. Guests include Jim O'Leary on swell vocals and Leonid Yevseyev as recording engineer. This is the album that dubbed the term 'aggressive world-beat jazz.
